...but before we head-off, there is a lot of preparation to do. Nell is currently out of the water at Ipswich Beacon Marina. Underwater works , including anti-fouling, new anodes, and propeller polishing is taking place.

In the meantime, the crew are working out what can be removed from the boat and what needs to go on board.

The planned journey will start in Ipswich, on the easter weekend. We will cruise, slowly up the east coast of Suffolk and Norfolk, before heading across The Wash to the Lincolnshire coast, and heading on up to Yorkshire and beyond. The aim is to get to Shetland around early June.

Whilst doing this trip, we thought we would raise awareness and funds for an Oundle charity. Volunteer Action is our chosen charity. They do excellent work, providing transport for the elderly and other people in need. We will be taking the Volunteer Action mascot on the boat trip, so do follow our blog and social media posts to see where the mascot gets to.
